How are children placed in classes?

We encourage all children to start at Level 1 and progress through the curriculum. Note all ages will be in Level 1 unless there is reason to separate children based on age groups.​

Our focus is on reading, writing, and cultural education.

How often are classes held?

Classes are held 2 times per week, typically after school, for a period of 6 weeks. Classes are 1.5 hours long.

Is the program free or is there a cost?

We ask for a donation to cover the cost of the educator and materials of the class.​

Do children need prior literacy skills to join?

No prior literacy skills are required; we offer support at all levels.

Instruction is provided in Dari or Pashto to support both language development and literacy.
